Silent Ardor

There was this tree,
On it was this beautiful leaf!
Near to a bush full of red roses...
There was laughter and joy,
Dancing and singing that lasted for long
Days filled with fragrance and stories..
Days go by, tree was growing...

There was this tree,
On it was this beautiful leaf!
Leaf loved the tree so dear
It thought that the tree is her own...
Never told this to the tree...
Nor did the tree ask about it
Days have gone by, nothing was said anymore
Sweet sight of roses and droplets of honey dew
Lead her to the place where dreams came true
Roses have withered but the fragrance still lingers
Her mind still resounds by sweet whispers of the tree

There was this tree,
On it was this beautiful leaf!
Leaf loved the tree so dear
She thought that the tree is her own...
But alas, to the tree,
She was just one among many…
She tried to hold on...
But the tree didn’t want her to stay...

There was this tree,
On it was this beautiful leaf!
Who loved the tree, like a priceless hoard
Days have gone by, don’t they see anymore
No regrets no memories that are sore
While dreams of young tree she sees
Dream- a little dream of her youth!!!
She lurked and lurked ….
And at last she fell down,
Thinking that one day the tree will miss her...
The tree never missed her coz there are many leaves in the tree...

There was this tree,
On it was this beautiful leaf!
Silent ardor she carried through…
Did it not written in water…
Good Lord hear her once
Days and years called on twice or thrice
Too came babbling rain and pleasant spring ….
All they said was this story…
“There was this tree,
On it was this beautiful leaf!
Who loved the tree so much”
Alas the tree heard her back
Then came this autumn,
When deserted the leaves,
Lone be the tree, Oh sad!!!
Thought the tree good old days
‘Did I know you, enough to love you,
Did I love you, enough you deserved’
Late it became,
The leaf is no more,
Old became the tree that it fell off, the same place the leaf laid last!!!
